In the Art of Becoming
Supervision & Consultation
As a Board-Certified Registered Art Therapist and Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor in Minnesota, I offer clinical supervision that integrates trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and decolonized practice. I supervise pre-licensed LPC, LPCC, and art therapists working toward licensure and ATR credentialing, cultivating a space that honors both clinical development and the therapist's authentic self.
My supervision style is relational, reflective, and identity-affirming, rooted in the belief that each supervisee brings a unique blend of lived experience, cultural context, and creative intuition into their work. I offer guidance in developing foundational skills such as assessment, treatment planning, clinical documentation, and ethical practice.
A key part of my approach involves teaching pre-licensed clinicians, especially those trained in EMDR, Art Therapy, and Anchored Relational Therapy, how to thoughtfully, and creatively integrate these modalities, along with mindfulness within a clinical framework. I support clinicians in applying these approaches in ways that are attuned, culturally responsive, and grounded in the expressive and relational power of the arts.
Supervision is a space where we explore not only techniques and theory, but also relational resonance, transference, countertransference, self-regulation, and the therapist's presence. I strive to create a supervisory relationship where power dynamics are acknowledged, curiosity is encouraged, and both clinical confidence and inner clarity are nurtured over time. Supervision, to me, is not only about clinical growth, it is a space where curiosity is cultivated, power dynamics are examined, and the healing role of the therapist is held with intention, integrity, and care.
